I bought these on the recommendation of a professional musician that I respect, Michael Lowenstern. These are great study books. I was a student of Rudolf Jettel who also wrote excellent studies and these are very similar in as much as they challenge your technical ability while still have a great sense of musicality.Product details

25 Clarinet Etudes Book 2 Sam Sadigursky Books Reviews
These etudes are creative, focused, and very challenging. This book is a great follow-up to Sadigursky's first book and they are a joy to practice. I've been recommending them to all my clarinetist friends, professional and amateur alike!
These are great books for anybody looking to improve their technique and broaden their musical vocabulary at the same time. I first came across there at the clarinet convention in Austin last year and have been having fun with them since. These will give clarinetists of any level a serious workout!
I bought this and 25 Clarinet Etudes Book 1 last Summer at ClarinetFest and can't be more pleased. My focus is contemporary music and I've been looking for a series of modern etudes for a few years now. Both these books really do the job well. They can be used by a wide range of players since they present a variety of challenges for your technique. One of the nicer aspects of this book is that the etudes are based on musical styles from around the world. Being at least a little familiar with Brazilian music, jazz, Eastern European musics, and others is critical for musicians today.
This book by Sadigursky demonstrates the composer's deep understanding of the instrument and of contemporary music. The 25 pieces stand out not only as a set of satisfying miniatures conceived in the Western European tradition, but also as a comprehensive synthesis of musical languages drawn from jazz, world and popular musics. In this second installment, Sadigursky has once again devised material that is technically challenging and yet thoroughly expressive. The result adds up to a very gratifying journey for instrumentalists and composers alike.
I bought these on the recommendation of a professional musician that I respect, Michael Lowenstern. These are great study books. I was a student of Rudolf Jettel who also wrote excellent studies and these are very similar in as much as they challenge your technical ability while still have a great sense of musicality.
